Criag “KR” Costello, according to his Krink website is “a terrible art student, a semi-successful vandal, and an entrepreneur who learned everything the hard way.” As fate would have it Costello, now a world renowned artist, owns one of the largest brands in the world of arts and design. Costello’s art is less “illustrative” and more “abstract and expressionistic” as he states in his 2009 interview with Arkitip. (below) Aside from his beautiful art peices Costello’s Krink products are shipping daily from a headquarters in Brooklyn to everywhere from California to Moscow to Bangkok. The product line has grown to offer a number of different markers and inks that are unique to the market in their style, history and quality. Krink has grown to tag team with renowned companies like Nike, Levi’s and Kidrobot. The trademark “drippy paint” has found its way into art and design becoming a standard for street-inspired artists on a global level.
